Hey! I’m Lauren. If you read my “About the Artist” page, you already know that I’m a mom of 4, I was born and raised in STL and I love traveling. I thought it would be nice to tell you why I started my business.
I started my business because I wanted to use my passion and literal joy for capturing moments in time and storytelling with the world. I honestly kind of fell into it accidentally when I took pictures at a close friends wedding and the bride LOVED every photo I took.
It was then that I realized…..I HAVE A SUPER POWER! . My super power is that I can freeze time and make moments last lifetimes. I take great pride in knowing that I am helping people’s stories live on for generations after them.
The further I went on my path in in my business, I realized something else that really really mattered to me.
REAL PHOTOS!!
I know we live in a digital world, but I soon encountered so many people I worked with who would “lose their link”, “accidentally deleted all their files”, “computers crash”, “got locked out their FB/IG accounts or their accounts were deleted”. Then BOOM, all their moments and memories were gone. This made me think about my own memories.
I lost my father when I was 9 years old, and now as an adult, I found myself scrabbling to find photos of my father and I had NONE. NONE!!! While I will I will always have my father’s memories in my heart, I NEEDED some kind of visual. As time goes by, I found how his smile and eyes and details were becoming fading memories. I found old photos from family members and it was then that I truly understood the power ACTUAL PHOTOS had.
Since then, I changed my entire business to make sure EVERY SINGLE person I have the pleasure to work with is set up to get actual photos every time we work together. My super power is great but the power of the photos I provide is even greater.
I love getting to know every single person, couple, family, senior and etc. that I get to work with. Knowing I am helping them genuinely tell the stories of their lives, their loves and etc. is something I will forever hold near and dear to my heart.
Well……now you know a little more about me, the Frotographer. Now I can’t wait to get know more about you and help your stories live on!
